Inhale. Inspire. Intentional.
Those are my words of the year. Now, to be honest, I have never been successful with the whole “word of the year” thing. I would pick something I saw somewhere that seemed like a good thought. Something I would like to represent me and my year. Here’s the thing about that. That doesn’t work. Because in theory I might want my word to be calm. Or stress free. Or Millionaire. But that doesn’t make it a reality or motivational for that matter.
So if the practice has failed before, why am I building a blog based off of not just one but three words? Honestly, I’m not 100% sure. But since the first of the three words, inspire, popped in my head and I spent days trying to shrug it off, I have felt like this was where it was leading. And it makes sense I guess. The first word being inspire it feels wrong to open my life to the concept of inspiration if I don’t share the journey with others who might be looking for the same thing.
As I grow, learn new concepts, new strategies, succeed and fail through trial and error, I want to help others who feel like they could use some growth too. To know that you are not alone, some good steps to get you started on your way, where ever that way may lead you. My path is one as an entrepreneur, a creative, a mother, a wife, a business person, a friend, a Christian, a woman, an empath, a nerd, an artist, a photographer, a musician, a writer, and a cake connoisseur, not in any particular order. If any of those things speak to you and the path you are on, I may just be able to help you find your footing on your way a little easier. The beauty is that all of our roads are different, so I expect different people will take more from some posts than others and that is okay. The important thing is knowing you aren’t traveling alone. Whether you are like me and prefer the road less traveled by or just keep finding yourself there by circumstance, traveling the unbeaten path is much less daunting with a friend.
If you are here, you probably already know me but I feel obligated to say that I am not an expert. That’s kind of the point because if I were I am guessing I would be struggling a little less with these three concepts. I will take time to write a little about each in the next few posts so you know what my thought and trajectory is with each. In the mean time, I hope you are having an inspired start to your year. That you are living your life with intention. And that you never forget to stop and breathe.
